Partners

IDF seeks to partner with its portfolio companies to strengthen its current client base, and to introduce the business to new clients both within and outside IDF's current network of corporate relationships.

Enterprise development

Many businesses are faced with the need to meet their enterprise development targets under the B-BBEE scorecard and yet do not have a conduit through which they can channel these enterprise development contributions. IDF Managers, through its non-financial support services function, can be used by the corporate entities to channel their contributions through to the intended beneficiaries. Such contributions will be utilized for the benefit of IDF’s investment portfolio.

In turn companies making such contributions are able to contribute in a meaningful and sustainable manner to the creation of a strong entrepreneurial culture with its commensurate socio-economic development impact while at the same time being able to claim points on the B-BBEE scorecard.

Market Access

Access to markets is essential for the long term sustainability of small businesses. This has been identified as a critical component in the value proposition of IDF Managers. IDF’s investment portfolio provides access to sustainable, credible, black-owned businesses, to which preferential procurement opportunities can be directed.

This facilitation for business opportunities for our investment portfolio will also be of benefit to the entities who make such opportunities available to small black owned and black women owned entities as they will be able to gain maximum points on their preferential procurement element of the B-BBEE scorecard.

Network members

IDF values its relationships with some of the organizations that represent black (especially women and youth) entrepreneurs, organizations that offer support services for inception and preparation of start-up and existing businesses, organizations that contribute to the promotion of entrepreneurship and the building of local economies in poor areas, and mentors that provide ongoing support to businesses. We are always keen to work with other organizations that have common values with IDF, and where we are relevant to the organizations’ objectives.

Organisations interested to partner with IDF in any of the above areas are invited to send us an enquiry here
